Hi, I have rescued some tadpoles from a drying out puddle
which is best thing to do?
Transfer them to a pond that already seems to have tadpoles in it - about a mile away?
Transfer them to a nearby flowing stream?
Keep them in the bowl till they're ready to leave?
Thanks in advance
We have a tank with some tadpoles, which are growing nicely. You can see a photo in this thread.
When we put the frog spawn in, I didn't put a filter in the tank, as I thought the emerging taddies would get sucked into it. However, this meant that the water wasn't moving, which I wasn't happy...
Sorry of this is a dumb question, but I want to make sure we're giving our taddies the best care we can.
We picked up some frog spawn in Burrs Country Park (Bury, Lancs) a couple of weeks ago. We had an aquarium which only had a few fish in, so we rehoused them, removed the heater and...

It seems to be fairly common over in the US.

I have 12 E. Tricolor tadpoles, all healthy and eating well. Just trying to see if anyone has any interest in them now whilst they are still young? Picture is of one of the largest tadpoles as well as one of the males. Will have more froglets in another few months as I have another two clutches...

Since putting my Yellow bellies in the greenhouse (see "My greenhouse" thread) they have spawned again and again.
Instead of waiting for them all to morph I have decided to sell some as tads just to thin out numbers.
£2.00 each which I think is fair.
They are at various sizes but...
Hi guys, I've got three rather young Fire Bellied Toads. There is at least one female and they have been mating over the last few days.
Today my partner saw the female letting some 'bubbles' loose. They look like tiny, empty eggs attaching to the front of the glass. Will they grow into eggs...
