Hello! I wonder if I could pick some of your brains about the dimming thermostat:) I got my first snake two weeks ago, a 5 months old BRB. The day i got her the breeder recommended a dimming thermostat but on the pet shop were out of stock so I got a microclimate 100w on/off. They said it was...

Hi everyone I wondered if someone could give me a rough idea of a suitable wattage ceramic emitter for a 48x24x24 (inches) vivarium. Obviously the ceramic will be linked up to a thermostat to help control the temp but I wondered if I got too small a emitter if it would struggle to heat the...

Hi guys! So I intend on getting a White Python ceramic bulb, but I was wonder whether to get 60, 100, or 150w bulbs. My landlord at Uni insists I pay a fee for the extra electricity I use as to not go over the contract amount. I have paid him for 20watts to be on 24/7. So I was wondering what...

Hey! Just a quick question, possibly a stupid one. I have the smallest version of the Arcadia Clamp Lamp, rated for use with bulbs up to 80W. I've just went and bought a 125W CFL, which is absolutely MASSIVE, surprisingly it does fit into the lamp quite easily though. Anyway, the lamp turns...

Hello :) I am wondering what bulb to get for a vivexotic LX36 viv. I need the hot end to be about 90-100F and the cold end to be about 70-80F. I was going to use an Exo Terra Day basking bulb but not sure what watt use and weather to use the tight beam one or the normal one. I know it may be...

Does anyone know what the difference is between the different watt compact uv bulbs are? Is it down to how much light/uv they emit or heat? I know they emit very little heat but would they increase the ambiant temps slightly?

I will eventually be moving my boa from his 40"x20"x20" to a 5'x2'x2', would the 150w ceramic I've got already have, have enough power to heat the 5foot? Hopefully it will as larger gaurds, ie for a 250w ceramic, are ridiculously priced!

Hi, New to Bearded dragons, but I have been doing alot of research and cant seem to get the answer. It would be a 100w heat bulb with a thermostat on for beardie age just under 3 months old. Would that be ok, if I had thermostat? Thanks a heap in advance.
