if I was to buy these do I have to have specific enclosures? is there a cheap alternative?

I have got a queen and workers in a sweet jar, seem to be doing well so far.
Just make sure they can't escape

I used a plastic bottle in the center of the jar then covered in soil to encourage them to dig around the outside.
