Hi i got a new Albino ball python :) and was feeding her the other day for the first time and she mis-struck, thats not the thing after she mis-struck she went straight for the heat lamp with her mouth wide open moving to the other end of the viv, she stopped luckily and realised it was too hot to be food. Im just wondering has anyone else experienced this and could this be a problem when feeding her in the future? (i know pythons sense heat throught their pits)

I made the exact mistake your makin now without a guard round your bulb.My royal some how got to the bulb an till this day has a nasty scar on her side.People dont understand how important they really are.Best thing to do is get the bulb guarded.Might sound a little harsh but its a must otherwise a trip to the local vet.:closed:
