Any sex more aggressive than the other?

Hiya,

I'm looking at getting a corn or rat snake, and have done lots of reading up!

I gather that the females are smaller than the males in general, but I was wondering if either sex is renowned for being more aggressive?

Just wondering if I should go for a male or a female, or if it really doesn't make any difference when it comes to behaviour?!

Thanks!

Em :)

hi there..I have 2 corns a male and female and neither of them are aggressive but i think if you were to put 2 males together you would see some sort of aggression or dominance..but over all they are pretty placid snakes.
mine are the same age but my female is slighlty larger than the male. but all snakes vary in size and shape..depends on how well they feed too...Diane

Smartie, if you want to be on the safe side, go for a male.

If you're married, you'll know what I mean
