Yikes ..!!!
My hearts in my mouth....sweatty palms...dry throat....heady dizzy feeling....Yep,youve guessed it - Im off to take the Presley's for their first (((((((WORMING ))))))))......Gosh I do hope its not going to be too traumatic....
Keep them crossed for us !

I find taking mine to the vets for anything is stressful - they hate the car for a start and its a half hour drive to the vets.

I hope they will be good and open their mouths nice and wide for the "lovely vet"

OMG !!
Some one get the gin!!.....To cut a very long AND TRAUMATIC story short....he couldnt do it....took one look in me box and said "oooh there small"...I mean what did he think I was bringing...Lonesome George??God , I could cry-he was SOooo ruff with my little Darlings, Elvis put up a real fight-He kept trying to sit them on their bums and open their mouths???!! I was worried he'd break a leg or something - BAD MAN !:whip: Ive been sent home with x4 syringes (another dose for x2 weeks time)
"put it onto their food" he said,
"pay my colleague on the way out" he said...........
pay my bloody colleague ???? "WHAT FOR" I SAID?....
Oh yeah- AND he couldnt sex them :(
Gutted with the whole experience....

Yeah - I know that its good to find specialist......
I specificaly,specifically,specificaley (Hmm is that the correct spelling???)
asked if he was up to the job..........was told yes......god, my heart sinks..... I have had one lovely glass of wine(medicinal of course.... lol - and dont feel any better about the whole experience !) (unusual)........
Its not easy getting the right advice / help....... Im the only person I know with Tortoises...theres so much advice given but hey.......surprise surprise......
(no not Cilla Black) none of it is the same...(please note: - Im writing in blue to match my mood :))
The Presley's are driving me to (((((((THE EDGE)))))))))).................Is there anyone out there that lives in the Oxfordshire area that knows of a good rep vet???
I THINK ITS FAIR TO SAY AT THIS POINT THAT IM NOT A CRAZY LADY WITH A PASSION OR ANY FORM OF FETISH FOR SHELLS (just thort Id say)..

Was he a specialist? If not it shows why finding a good specialist tortoise vet is essential!

Sorry to hear you had such a traumatic experience.

Of course youre right - "relax".............
just couldnt bare to think of the little Daaaa arlings suffering
(not that they are :))..........gosh, can you tell my kids are all grown up now ?? Lol..
I will get onto a rep vet 1st thing tm !
