Seen them before on the internet, think they are called Mountain Viper or something like that.. Is it venomous?

i thought to keep a venemous snake you had to have a licence??

Yes, they are venomous... There is currently no antivenin produced for this or any Atheris species... The venom of this species is not supposed to be very dangerous but they are venomous so all husbandry rules apply!!!

There are a couple of common names for this species...

The eyelashed bush viper and the Usambara Mountain bush viper...

They handle quite easily... They stay pretty calm on a hook...

Hang on you handle it?? As in handle it :shock: or u mean by hook or something!

Handling venomous snakes without the proper tools is not only stupid, but it is irresponsible as well...

So to answer your question, I only handle venomous reptiles with hooks...

sod that :shock: i'll stick to me non venomous snake's..lol..my kids would wanna hold it like they do all the other reps we have.
