Some of you may already know that I founded the UK Shrimp website, but you may not know that myself and a few others recently founded the UK's first amphibian keeper specific society, holding our first meeting in August of this year, with our next scheduled for 7th April 2013. You're probably wondering what this has to do with aquarium keeping.... :lol2:

Well, the BAKS committee recently took a vote to allow the sale of non-venemous invertebrates, INCLUDING aquatic species such as shrimp and crabs, from tables at our meetings. As such, we now welcome table bookings from people who wish to sell these at our meetings. As an ex-member of the UK Shrimp scene, it seems to me that this is an excellent opportunity for aquatic invert keepers to get together to trade their surprlus inverts, and just to socialise too.

You can find more information about the society at our official website at B.A.K.S.

Naturally we also welcome the sale of related dry goods, equipment and plants.

I had some disasters with them Esfa, and just didn't bother replacing them. The main disaster happened back when we moved to Stafford, between testing the water when we first moved, and doing the first water change, the water company had made huge changes to the water, which meant I ended up mixing it all wrong. Lost absolutely tons. The cherry shrimp got eaten by my wife's mollies that she bought....

Got rid of my last shrimp tank when we moved back to Wolverhampton. Just have my 62 gallon now, which given my wife has a molly and a Bolivian ram in it would be death to anything smaller than an Amano. So Amano shrimp are all I have now. When I can get rid of the molly and that ram, and redecorate the tank with a nice load of wood, I'll probably put some dwarf shrimp in there again.: victory:

I mostly keep poison dart frogs now. Just as gorgeous, but a lot more interesting and live for a heck of a lot longer. :lol2:

I still have an interest in shrimp though, and really hope that those still involved in the hobby will use this opportunity to get together.
