Anyone use bamboo in a high humidity set-up and get mold on the bare ends? I've not had any grow on the exterior or interior of bamboo, but I have on the bare, cut ends. Anyone found a way round this?

Many thanks.

Not for bamboo, but i've used clear aquarium silicone spread thinly over an area to prevent mould growth before, cant see why that wouldnt work. just paste it on and leave it to cure and you should be fine

Was thinking of dipping the ends in yacht varnish to seal, but would be a long time drying and getting rid of the smell I guess?
