hey guys

had my boy rocky for about 7 months now, he is pretty big

when he was little he was eating three times a day at about 60-80 crix per day

recently he has only been eating once a day, still a fair few crix but sometimes he just aint interested and they end up crawling all over him and then I have to get the bloody things out of his viv

I switched to locusts the other week and he wolfs them down, but he is only interested once a day and some days not at all

Im just wonderin is this normal

when he eats he eats around ten medium to large locusts
he is not under weight
he is eating a bit of veg but not much, carrots and greens

temps are good, 95-105 basking and 78 cool end

got one of those uv/mercury vapour bulbs as well but not really noticed a difference

just looking for some reassurance really, anyone else experienced this????

thanks alot

mike and rocky

at his age they should be eating once a day if not at all. When they get to adults, they should be fed livefoods like every 3 days or so, with veggies offered daily.

So there's no need to be worried, especially if hes wolfing down a good 10 locusts regulary, just remember to offer him veggies as well, even if he doesn't seem interested in them. Sometimes BDs just aren't in the mood to eat, other times they scof las much as possible

Hope that clears it up
