Does anyone actually know what it means when a beardie turns his beard black?

my m8 has found that when his is chasing crickets around, and misses one, he follows it around and his beard sometimes turns black when he can't find it, so it could also show frustration

mine does this as well but all i do is give him a stroke on the head and under the chin and hes happy as larry again :D but not sure if that works for all beardies

They also do it when there missus aint behaving! There beard turns black and they head bob like crazy!

Also, when they see another male!

And like everyone say's, Just generally pee'd off about something.
