I was cleaning my crested gecko's tank out today and he pooed on me. I noticed his poo had some black spots and lumps in it. I've never seen this before and when I searched on the internet I couldn't find anything. I'm thinking it could be his substrate that he accidentally ate but I'm not sure. Should I take him to a vet? Or is this normal?

What substrate do you have? Do you feed black crickets?

I use eco earth and I do feed him black crickets sometimes, he had a few last week.

Is it possible the black dots look like undigested pieces of cricket? I have sometimes seen black pieces of undigested crickets in my beardies poo.

I think it could be, I'm gonna see if there's any the next time he poos because I haven't fed him any crickets since then.
