Firstly, i just want to make it clear i have no intention of trying this myself. I am trying to persuade the misses to let me get one and this question came up out of curiosity...

What makes them so hard to breed in captivity?

Is it that they just wont get down to business when introduced? Will one just kill the other before it goes any further? Is it that not many people have every tried (although find this hard to believe)?

I'm really not sure...so whats the deal with this?

Ta,
Gary.

very canibalistic and territoreal + there not imune to there own venom.

my advice. let some one else try and breed them and pay the slightly higher cost then risk losing costly mature specimens

Yeah no intention of attempting it myself, just curious as to the reason why it was so difficult...have also found out the young are very hard to raise as well so maybe that contributes to lack, or even non-existance of CB's.
