For a 3x2x15inch viv. How many fat tailed geckos could i keep as a potential breeding group in there?

I would keep up to 6 in there as they not as big as leos and it would give them enough space if they want to be on their own.

so you reckon, 4 females to 1 male would be alrite then?

also are they the same as leos with 2 eggs per batch?

1:4 is ok for the mix, just remember, ALL your offspring will be related

I have gone for a batch of 9, 1:2 ratio to ensure unrelated babies.

Not sure how it will go, only had them in a few weeks, but looking forward to next year as they are well friendly geckos

When I bought my fat-tails, the breeder recommended keeping them in as small groups as possible as they different to leos. They don't breed as readily and need cooling for 2/3 months. Another breeder I know tried for 4 years to breed them and only succeeded this year! A pair is best and no more than a trio I was told.

Anyone actually bred fat-tails? I've got mine in a pair.

yeah i was gonna get a few groups.

I probably will only have trios as i don't fancy buying 13 fat tail geckos just now.

probably 3 1.2 trios in 2x2 vivs.

hopefully a pair of albino
