Hi guys can I put 2 young male carolina's in the same viv?

What would the possiblity of them fighting be?

If they do fight would it just be a matter just going in there and pulling them apart?

Is it for space/money or just because you want em in together?

I'd house em up seperately then tbh, people do keep em together, but if they decide to 'fight' you would likely end up with one very fat corn.

At certain times of the year - once they hit adulthood - the probability of them tussling and stressing each other out is very high indeed.

You might find that the larger or stronger or more dominant male will rape the other one.

Also, how sure are you that they're both males?

its not worth the risk. i house my carolina in his own viv and he loves it.

viv size: 24x15x15 inches and he's 9 months old

p.s. i also wanted to keep some snakes together so i decided to get some garter snakes which live well in groups! thats a better option than keeping corn together

As for them beening sexed I took them to a friend of mine who has had snakes for over 25 years.

How old do males have to be before they can be used for mating?

You can house 2 males/2 females together but dont house male and female together. It is best though to house them separately as they wont fight, if one gets ill it wont make the other, you can check poo's and sheds etc. They "can" live together but if you have the space separate them. I had mine in the same viv due to me having to move back into my mums when i got ill and they were ok but the smaller male began bullying my bigger male and now they have a 3x2x2 viv each.: victory:

A 90-gram male can and will mate and successfully fertilise eggs.

It's probably better to let them get closer to 200g plus.

Yeah he probbed them.

I have no intention of breeding them for a long while yet, but I am considering it in the future.

I might get a female MBK one day and breed them cos I think MBK are soo georgous, I would have only them if I could.

Wait till they are adults, they are fine when older but one might eat one why they are so small

I am taking them all to the vet soon for neral check up so I might just ask the vets to sex the 2 corns again to confirm it for me.
