My snake's bulb went out and I had no extras. The closest actually pet store was too far so I bought a dome and bulb used for chickens. Does it matter that I'm this instead of an reptile brand heat bulb? I have a sand snake so she does like the hot temperature. Sorry if this is stupid question, new to snake ownership.

What you've purchased will work fine, may even be good long term.
These are especially designed to keep young chicks warm and healthy and make sure they are eating well.
As long as it's controlled by a good thermostat it will be fine.
