i used it when i got my last rats but i didn't really like it much. it doesn't smell so much but my cage was so big it took one whole bag of it to fill so i found it too expensive an went back to wood shavings.

Was excellent when I used to keep rabbits, but for smaller rodents not so great. Reverted my mice back to woodshavings eventually... although Pets at Home have it on 3 for 2 at the mo if anyone uses it!

I love carefresh. I use it with my ferrets in thier litter box b/c when I use kitty litter they got respitory infections. For my snakes I use paper towels. And my birds use newspaper.

But for small animals I like Carefresh b/c the dust is limited and they don't get infections like they would with pine/ceder/aspen.
