seen one of these guys in my local rep shop, he was stunning, and have been thinking about getting one since, there on our list of what we want next year.
Any advice on keeping these would be great, ta!

Beautiful snakes.

Snappy when young, but always look great.

Here are a few care sheets:

Some may be more focused on jungles as thats what I have but I think the husbandry of carpets in general is pretty similar.

Maki, Carpet man and Osmotic are the guys who helped me. And a good few others

I find every caresheet has different enclosure dimensions. What size vivs do you guys keep your adult JCP's in?

They are really lovely snakes. Very inquisitive and once the youngsters have calmed down they are very docile. In my experience anyway, especially if handled frequently.

My one has started coming out sitting on the top of the computer monitor and then 20 mins later putting herself back in her via my leg.

My viv dimensions are 4' x 2' x 2' In the new year she will be getting a new taller viv so she can climb more, having said that she seems quite content with what she has got. Lots of java wood for climbing.

I think Carl has got it covered wth regards to the care sheets.

Any specific questions post back, lots of expertise on here with that species.

Cheers

Os
