also does it matter if the holder is a different brand ie komodo ceramic bulb holder and a exo terra ceramic heat emiiter

do ceramic bulbs give light?

No ceramics do not give off light, they emit long wave infra red heat, which is absorbed by the animal, the same as the heat from the sun would in nature.
