Hey all , out of interest, do i aim to get the 'crumpet' sized circle under spot bulb to 31-33c meaning the warm end is 29-30c or do i aim to get warm end 31-33c which means the circle under bask spot would be about 36c

It a baby carpet and he in a 30inchx12x12 so not a lot of height

Both the above seem to keep cool end at 26-27c

Just seems a very small area to have at 32c, he wont spend much time in that area, makes more sense to have the whole warm third at 32 but as there is not much height in viv , to get warm end 32, directly under bask spot is 36c
