Right I had a problem with my BRB and mites but I cleared that up with callingtons, After a few more weeks of being kept on kitchen roll and cardboard box hides (which I hate doing) I put ome fresh orchid bark and moss and then some hides and things to climb, that was a couple of weeks ago and then last night Inoticed there were mites again and there were mites in my ATB's viv which is next to the BRB.

Anyway the ATB viv is planted and has coco fibre background. I dont mind digging up the substrate and removing the plants but will I need to replace the coc fibre too?

I guess what Im asking is will callingtons penetrate in coco fibre background?

i'm guessing that unless you absolutely soak it then no .
would cooking / freezing sterilise it enough to kill of the mites ?

best way is probably just to rip it out & start from scratch , but i know them panels aint cheap .

thats an awesome idea!! I can just take them off and chuck them in the freezer over night!

Hypoaspis mites would work in a planted viv without having to remove it all. You can use them for both snakes as well.
