I have noticed a black patch on the spine of my Chinese Water Dragon.
This was a little bump in the scales for about a day and has since looked a bit like a bad shed. The last couple of days it is looking a bit smoother and almost like it will go after a couple of sheds. Every day I have been soaking it with warm water. Do you think this is any cause for concern / is there anything that i can do?

This is the more submissive of my two dragons so could it be from a fight?
Any advice would be apreciated.

I have attached a photo, hopefully I have got it right.

It is so hard to tell via images,

I have seen similar as healing bites from other dragons and live food, Retained shedding issues from poor diet and inadequate humidity and hydration, burns and a bacterial infection.

As such your only real option is to seek the advice of a good reptile focussed vet.

Then you will know for sure.

To me that does look like an old healed wound. (probably one of the things John has mentioned)
If it spreads or grows, consult a vet.

Thank you for your responses,
I thought, as I have had them for 2 months now, I would take them to the vets for a general check up. She told me that it was likely a wound from before I got them, and looks like scar tissue, which may or may not return to the correct colour, but nothing to worry about.

Again thanks for your replies.
