MY cordylus tropidosternum hasn't opened his eyes in a for a day or two my worry is that it is an eye infection however he is also shedding at the moment but on previous sheds has never done this. it may also be substrate stuck in his eyes as he is kept on sand+eco earth.

has anyone dealt with anything like this before?
my current thoughts are to buy some eye ointment(beaphar i think) and if that doesnt clear them up of to the vets? any opinions?

I would try rinsing the eye (good luck trying this - if they are anything like my tropidosternum they will squirm like mad!) with a 5% saline solution in case there is a foreign body in the eye. Don't use cotton wool. If it doesn't clear then IMO vet would be better than trying to self diagnose and treat.
