F/t but if I had somthing that would only take live well then it would have to be done untill it was converted to pre kill then f/t.

Prefered from top to bottom.

1) Defrost.
2) Defrost left with the snake overnight.
3) Defrost Scenting/changing prey size*/husbandry. (*and type chicks etc)
4) Defrost (assisted not forced, place in mouth)
5) Live Prey.
5a) If live successful, try weaning off with frozen or fresh killed.
6) Forced.

i prefer defrost, but im curentley feeding live (yes im a horrible person before you start)to a non feeding corn that is drasticly loosing weight so its a last resort, but a must if you keep reps with feeding problems: victory:

Snakes that are for selling on get defrosted unless they're problem feeders. My own, 90% are on fresh killed. If it's not eaten into the freezer it goes so no wastage. I hate defrosting a load of rodents that are not eaten so I end up chucking them over the back fence to feed the neighborhood Foxes / Rooks / Crows with.

Its better for the snake if you do feed frozen. If you feed live and the mouse, rat, rabbit or what ever, could or most likely have worms and or parasites, thus passing them to your snake.
However, frozen stuff is much safer cos all the worms and parasites will be dead from being frozen in the food item.
As a last resort i would feed live, but ive never had too.
