I have a question.. i bought my yearling king (26 inches) on saturday and fed him a small mouse on sunday which he ate no problem. i fed him another small mouse this evening, he striked at that and dragged it into his hide. is it bad for a snake to eat more than one mouse a week if it wants too? :?

He may get a bit fat over time but while he's growing it shouldn't do much harm.
One a week, as long as the mouse is roughly as thick as the snakes body, is plenty though.
But if your mice are a fair bit smaller than his body width at his widest point, then feed two - if this is the case I'd feed both at the same time.

He'd probably eat several if given the chance - it's just instinct as in the wild they wouldn't know when they'd next get chance to feed, it doesn't mean he needs it though.

I would recommend feeding him a pray item the thickness of his body once a week... Basically snakes will take as much food as you'll give them which eveidently leads some keepers making there snakes fat!

NNY is your king man he might be able to tell you more..
