...what on earth do you order if you go to a chippy then!

I always get fish and chip butty with a tub of gravy to lash on when I get home. Then a dollop of red sauce on the side for good measure.

Saying that Im mortified when I go visit Dad's family in Yorkshire get given a Ham sarnie with no peas pudding. Bloody ham and no peas pudding. Apparently once you leave the north east region and hit yorkshire there is no such thing! GASP

Dulai's fish bar in hetton up here does the best fish and chip butty and gravy everrrr. And they give you mega portions. AND scrapings are always complimentary.

I'm northern and I've never heard of anyone eating fish with gravy. Sounds disgusting.

When you go to the chippy you can get gravy in those little polystyrene pots
Its just compulsory to pour it over your fish and chip butty
Its not exclusively for fish but tastes lurrrvely with it
