Crickets!!!

Does anyone know or could figure out the genetics of crickets?!

I've noticed that my banded crickets are not so silent after all...and as they're a mix of blacks and browns...i have a few questions.

So, how likely are female banded crickets to have noisy wings? Do they inherit more of the black side or the brown side of their parents?

forget the genetics and just chop off their wings.

banded crickets are not a mix of black and brown, they are a seperate species.

I cannot be arsed to look up the latin names, google will answer for you.

They are seperate species, not a cross or a morph.

I think the common name for the banded is tropical cricket or tropical banded cricket.
