I recently decided to feed my crickets a very healthy diet for 3 days and then I froze them. I then took them out and let them get to room temp. I then put them in my brown anole tank and hey presto - they were eaten. I found that the crickets must be presented as if they were still alive. Belly up doesn't seem to do the trick.

No more cricket escapes and no chance of any gravid females laying a load of eggs in my substrate.

Winner.

I know they wont have to run and "catch" the crickets but they still stalk them and occasionally run from one side of the tank to the other to get them. Besides, my little colony consists of 1 male and 4 females so I'd say they gets plenty of exercise!

Comments please ? Anyone else do this?

but sounds like a good idea, i might do it if he stops feeding it will help. i already do it with my meal worms but they survive in the fridge.
