Yes it's alive, They only what to take live food the first times.
It's a dead snake, if it's don't eat, and it only want live.

fab pics do like the sand boa even if it is eating a live mouse personally I couldn't do it as used to keep mice as pets however it is natural for snakes to eat live and a snake must live so don't have a problem with it.
