hey guys, just thought i wold share with you all. i am going to collect my new adult female royal in the next day or two. she is a big old(ish) girl of 9 years old. her owner cant look after her as promotion means she is hardly ever at home. she advertised on preloved for a new home and put a hefty price tag on her baby. i emailed her a few times and she was that chuffed with my pics and royal stack, i get her for free in exchange for updates on her progress. apparently she put a big price tag on to deter the free brigade. How good is that! so saved myself a few quid towards getting a new viv stack made. am really excited, never had a big old girl like her before. just the babies and yearlings up to 600g ish.

Any advice?? realistically how long do they live?? the info on the net is VERY contradictory, some say ten years some say thrity.

If she was powerfed when younger she probably has a couple of years left in her, if she was grown on slowly then she could last easily to 30 or older.

Royals live to 20-40 years old, the oldest royal was 48 years old!
