my pictus gecko is on wood mulch substrate, in a 30cm2 tank. he has to heat mats on the outside of the tank, covering around a third of the vertical sides. the temp inside is a good 28 degrees celsius. i was just wondering if it would be better to put a heat mat underneath the tank on the out side, or even inside the tank directly underneath the substrate? As they are not a burrowing species...
