uh oh
-make a trap
you know how to make minnow traps?
if not, google it
put some in warm areas
-if you have heat mats spare, put some on the floor
-before all of this, check that it has escaped and isn't just hiding.
-gut the room where it was
-keep windows shut and if you have dogs or cats, keep them out of the room

Warm places... Don't bother turning your house upside down looking for it, by.the time you get close, it will have moved.

Other then that... Flour down to see which room it is in.

Place a heatmatt on the floor with hide.

And hope for the best

From reading 'lost corn hatchling' threads in the hundreds, and losing one myself, if you don't find it within about 5-6ft of where it escaped from, and you don't find it in a couple of days, consider it gone.

a nice brained mouse and put it on a heat mat.

If its gone in the morning its good news :2thumb:

Seriously though dont give up looking, keep doors shut and minimise clutter.

Good luck : victory:

Just to balance out the slightly doom-y posts - young uns CAN and do come back - I lost one only a bit older than yours and she was gone five weeks.

We had given up really, and so were very surprised to open a kitchen drawer and discover amongst all the tat, a really pissy bitey baby cornsnake!

She did take some time to calm down after her experience living in the wild (as wild as my kitchen gets anyway!) and has since then always had a very impressive strike feed response  but otherwise, no damage done.
