Was rounding up my adults after their usual sunday roam around and i cant find one of them, he is a 5ft butter so there cant be that many places but i have searched everywhere. its feedin time tonight.

My question is ----

How far away can a snake smell a brained mouse. its the only way i can think to lure him out but if he is in another room will he smell it ?

any help much appreciated

i reckon he will if you leave the doors open. they've got pretty powerful taste buds. a dvd i've got (it's the bbc one, serpent) has a cape cobra on it that can smell a nest of birds from about 300 metres away or something like that. if you put a mouse out and he's still around he'll smell it!

I had a garter snake that escaped and I never saw again, least your is 5ft good luck finding him/her
