Always best to leave the snkae for at least a week to settle, as the stress of the move could cause it to regurge,

i know some people feed same day, which is ok to do, but IMO leave for a period, this way you have better luck in getting snake to feed.

it may not have eaten due to the winter months, best thing to do is weigh snake on a weekly basis and monitor for any weight loss, if there isnt any then thers no need to worry,

As for feeding, with leaving for a week you will be able to see if it is hungry as it will come out to hunt, if not offer in a week or so, but offer something smaller than what you think/know it can take, as with the starve its stomach may have shrunk a little,

if it still does not eat, it may be wise to pop it to a vet to give it the once over, but make sure its a reptiile specialist, as IMO, not all vets that say they know about reptiles know what they are doing.

Hope things work out for ya and keep us posted.

my mistake,,i did read that,,,just had a certain corn on my mind while i was typing,,,same applies,,,,the telly would give off a lot of heat into the tank,,,n if the snake cant thermoregulate properly,,,he will become ill,,,stressed,,n prolly go off his food or regurge.

TV would also give off vibrations - which snakes don't like and would stress it. Make sure he has plenty of hiding places (my boa loves to go underneath her paper towels). Let it settle in and I hope you enjoy him/her.

Personally. I wouldnt put a snake with a tv, Like Razaiel said. Vibrations. I think my Royal on the floor gets to much vibrastions from downstairs let alone being on the same object of what a Tv would be on.

You could get away with this, Im not saying its a right or wrong idea, Just I wouldnt. If i was, I'd pad the Television Some how, So it wouldnt vibrate through the wood. Some kind of cloth/material or a rubber.

Just an Idea.

:( some people :( Hopefully you can find someone in the St Helens area who can give you a link - maybe you could post a request in a new thread to make it more visible?

Best of luck with the snake - lucky it has you now :)
