I took this rather bad photo of a snake from a canoe on the Aguas Negras river in Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve in the northeastern part of Ecuador, and I would like some help with identifying it:

Some more info on the snake: the specimen is about 160 to 200 cm long and was hanging over the water from a tree at daytime. The body was very well hidden beneath the leaves and hard to spot. It was dark brown with brown-reddish bands on it.

From the size and the head, this vaguely looks like some rat snake to me, but I am far from sure.

The vegetation in the area is seasonally flooded rainforest, btw.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions & time! :2thumb:
