Hey Im Quite New To Beardies I Got A Pair Out A Local Pet Shop That Had Been Left There By The Previous Owner And They Were Way Under Waight I Went Ever Couple Days For 5 Weeks Till They Finnaly Gave In And Sold Them To Me The Femal Was Quite Bad Wen I Got Her But Now Is Great And Fat Well Compared To When I Got Her Anyway She Eats Anything And Everthing Now Wot Should I Be Feeding On A Daily Basis As I Think Im Over Feeding

Also My Male Hurt His Lower Back I Took Him To The Vets And They Gave Him Steroids To Help As He Has Verry Limited Use In His Back Legs They Told Me It Would Take Time As He Still Has Feelings In Both Feet And Tail Is There Anything I Can Do Do Help Him Get Better Quicker As I Feel So Sorry For Him And Want To Help Him He Sometimes Falls Over And Cant Get Up So I Find Myself Keeping Him With Me As Much As Posible

Any Advice Would Be Great It Started With Me Feeling Sorry For This Pair Being Stuck In A 2ft Tank In The Pet Shop
But Now I Think There Great And Want More

Ps I Removed The Log My Beardie Fell Off Im Not Sure How He Did It But I Think It Was The Log Its The Only Think I Can Think Of Thanx In Advance

Id just like to say well done for giving them a good home, hope he gets better soon.

Cheers,
Mark.
Yeah, well done:2thumb:. As for food feed as much live food as they'll eat in 15 mins and privide veg daily. Are you dusting live ood with calcium 5 days and vits 2 days?
Don't know enough about the health issue you mentioned to advise so maybe someone else will help you with that.

Also how old approx are they?
If they're quite young the live food goes twice daily same amount, but only dust once daily

Welcome To The addiction firstly :]

Sounds very strange about the rear legs, how tall is the vivarium. My beardie is constantly falling off, and jumping of my bed. But no injuries. Very Strange.

Is the Vets you took him to specialise in reptiles. As many of the standard vetinarians do not specilise in Reptiles. And they just say anything and charge a fortune (no suprise there). Be careful. "Steroids" sounds a nice easy solution, thats whats tickling with my mind anyway.

If its not a reptile specialist, then if you post where you stay, the area. Then im sure somebody will tell of a good vets near by.

Can the beardie use the back legs or are they completly paralised?

Regards, Scott
