Hey All,

Wonder if you can help me! My doggy has come back from the doggy pamper place with Fleas! Well this was yesterday I have seen about 4 on her and now I have seen on on my other dog..

SO! Mum is going nuts and not only wants to do the dogs and all 9 cats that come in and out of our house but they whole bloody house aswell! Which means the living room where I have the Lizards and Snake. I have floor boards in my room so im not gonna spray in there,

What im asking is how safe is this for my babies? Ill put them in there travel tanks in my room for a couple of hours but am concerned incase the smell lingers.... If i shut there tanks and cover them with something, then clean them with milton or something before the babies go back in do you think that would be ok??

With the Health problems Obi has had recently I dont want to risk anything!

Anyones opinons would be grand!!

Oh also! Dog fleas cant live on my reps can they???

Thanks
x

:D Good news: dog fleas don't bite reps
:( Bad news: all insecticides harm reps
Evacuate reps for 24 hours when spraying. Swab out vivs with striliser fluid solution before putting reps back in. Try putting 2 crix in the viv for half an hour before fetching reps back. If it doesn't kill the crix, it can't harm your reps.
That's my humble opinion from having an aquarium and needing to rid the house of cat fleas a few years back.

That's really bad business sending a dog home with someone else's problem! make sure you let the groomer know what has happened as i'm sure this will turn out to be a very expensive trip to the poodle parlour! If you keep all your animals up-to-date with the frontline(or whatever you're using) then you shouldn't have to do the whole house again, even if one of them picks up a couple when out walking or socialising with other dogs, they won't last long either on your animals or in your house! Good luck :)
