We have just got our first Ball Python. Had her for 5 days now. She`s about 3-4 yrs old we`ve been told and we just call her she although we don`t know really..lol....
She`s very friendly and loves to come out to play.
Since we`ve had her I have cleaned out her water bowl every day, but not noticed anything else in the vivarium to clean out, we have bark substrate.
What exactly should I be looking out for? Should I change the substrate in her hides daily just incase it`s dirty and I can`t see it?
Thankyou for any help that you can give us.

you are looking for brown poo!!! lol, it does blend in with bark very well, but you will see it if not smell it,lol royals are very lazy so i would check in the hide on a regular basics. no need to change the substrate once a month is plenty but when you give fresh water daily just remove any poo you see or smell, you will notice if you go in the viv everyday, i can tell your a good keeper so good luck and enjoy xx
