As the title says particuly(spelling) Leo's?
Since im getting my first one next Friday I want to be prepared, I have a little notebook what Im planning on doing is putting his name, date of hatch and contact details of the breeder im getting him from(hi Monkeygirl).In the front
In the back my Vets details and on the pages the plan was to take a picture of him after each shed with his weight and length and any chances in behaviour so if, only if anything does happen in the future I have a full list I can take to the vet with me.
I actually do this for the two male pigs I have, they get weight every 3-4 wks and I record it in the book with changes in behaviour.

So back to my question, what or how do you weight them? My kitchen scales only read in Ounzes would this be ok?

yes ounces is ok... you can always convert to grams.

EDIT- sorry, I know its 28 grams to an ounce lol... I didnt click that I knew it lol
So if your scales only go in ounces your not gona get a very accurate weighing from them atall.

You can get digital kitchen scales from argos for 20 quid.
they arent accurate to 0.1 gram like erm..ones you need for other stuff but are fine for weighing in grams for reps.

nah you just want grams, unless it does both, if it just does ounces its no good as a gram is the smaller unit.
would be like if you were measuring distance... and it only measured in miles...wouldnt help if you wanted to know more accurately how far soemthing was.

Depends on the size of the leo. I have adults ranging from about 45 grams for a smallish female blizzard to 70 grams for a larger hypo girl; my boys range from about 65 grams for my blizzard male to 90+ for my patternless boys.

I havent found them cheaper than 50 quid but the link i just posted is awesome.
I asked for digi scales last xmas and got the ones i have but only accurate to 1gram not 0.1 so no good for that lol but great for weighing the reps.

I use a scale I picked up off of eBay, which is quite accurate - at least in grams, I don't need tenths of a gram for anything I'm breeding - circular, silver jobbie with a digital display.

Yep same here, my boyfriend got my 'pocket digital scales' from eBay. I can't help but they they are produced for drug dealers? Who else needs to carry such accurate scales around in their pocket?

I don't think they cost more than a tenner.

its alright when u have larger snakes and lizards, with my boas i used 2 stand on the scales and weigh me, then again while holding them and jus work it out. it wasnt 100% acturate but when ur animal weighs like over a stone lol its close enough

I dont know about Khat...id have thought anything sold by the barrow load wouldnt be much good being weighed with pocket scales.

Anything small... that would be used with tiny scales...Any drug I can think of.. you would need them accurate to the .1g
