Just out of total curiosity, im not looking to breed mine but ive seen pics of some royals who have just laid 4 eggs, some with 8 and some with what loks like loads! just wondered if theres a generic number!

It varies to be honest, ive seen them have 2 and i know one girl who drops 13 to 15.

The average is about 4 to 6 id say.

Wild and wild-caught royals lay about an average of 8 per clutch, so as hobbyists this is what you should be aiming for. I've never seen fewer than 4, and the most I've seen is 19. I can't remember whether the modal (i.e. most common) number is 7 or 8.
