sorry to go off topic here guys, but i didnt know you could get dwarf water monitors? how long have these been available.
They're not as such, there are some sub species who don't get nearly as big. I put dwarf because I've not decided on which sub species to go for yet.
Check out Lourie at select reptiles, he has some of the smaller sub species ATM. I wants one :D

What I've kept snakewise only (in bold are species I still keep):

"Redheaded garter" (suspect either T. s. concinnus or T. s. infernalis)
"Bullsnake" (Almost certainly a P. c. affinis)
Corn snakes (P. guttatus)
Obsoleta ratsnakes (P. o. lindheimeri and P. o. rossaleni)
Slowinski's ratsnakes (P. slowinskii)
Radiated ratsnakes (C. radiata)
Russian ratsnake (bought as Korean, turned out E. schrenki rather than E. anomala)
Getulus kingsnakes (L. g. nigritus, L. g. floridana var. "Goins King" and L. g. californiae)
Grey-Banded Kingsnake (L. alterna var. "Blairs Phase")
Triangulum milksnakes (L. t. honduriensis, L. t. annulata, L. t. campbelli ... I would love to get my hands on a pair of L. t. celaenops)
Northern Pine Snake (P. melanoleucus)
Western Hognose Snake (H. n. nasicus)
African House Snakes (L. fuliginosus and L. maculatus, I may have had an L. capensis as well)
Californian Red-Sided Garters (T. s. infernalis)
Whitewater Rosy Boa (L. trivirgata - or is it now C. trivirgata?)
Dumerils Boa (A. dumerili)
Common X Redtail Boa (Boa constrictor sp.)
Colombian Rainbow Boa (E. c. maurus)
Kenyan Sand Boa (E. c. loveridgei)
Mueller's Sand Boa (E. muelleri)
Rough-scaled Sand Boa (E. conicus)
Royal Python (P. regius)
Spotted Python (A. maculosa)

So that's 23 species and 29 subspecies (possibly 30).

Some of the ones I no longer keep are because I've discovered they just aren't for me in the most obvious, practical way... by keeping them. I don't currently have a rosy boa because losing Io really gutted me and I couldn't bear to replace him.
