Apart from battling to keep the humidity at +60% , I've also noticed the back of the vivarium is flaking/blistering from the higher humidity.
Prior to housing my baby Royal Python, it was home to my old corn snake ( died before Yule at a ripe old age of nearly 24yrs, we had him from just a few weeks old) and didn't need the humidity, hence my assumption it's the humidity doing the damage.

Changing the viv is not really an option as it's a double and I have another corn snake in the bottom one. My thought is perspex and a safe sealant, but wondering if anyone has a better idea please?
