Hi, I recently rescued a leopard gecko who was in pretty bad shape and have a few questions. Thankfully he eats wonderfully and has gotten fairly used to my hand in only a weeks time but he's about to shed but still has stuck shed from before I got him about a week and a half ago. Only reason I haven't touched it is because I didn't want to stress him out til I put some weight on him but I also don't want him to lose any toes or it affect his eyesight. I'm afraid of scaring him by forcing him into his humid hide but I also know he needs help so should I force him anyway or wait for a couple days until he's done with the current shed?

I agree with above, a warm water bath will do the trick of help getting off the first shed. Then gently take off skin, then put him back to his viv and let him do his business.
