Heyo all, I'm looking into getting a leucitic ball python but have noticed that some of the 'leucitic' snakes available still have some light coloured patches or are more somewhat translucent. On that note, I've never seen an older snake with the off-color patches that the younger 'leucitics' tend to have. True leuciticism would be a complete lack of pigmentation as far as I know; so is it that these snakes that are listed as leucitics are simply not leucitics, or is it that as the snake grows that it becomes a more solid white? Thanks a bunch, -Gressy <3

Also, some combinations produce an ivory cream white, others more brilliant white, and it can be down to the individual if any traces of patterning are present.
