Strange, still seems abit wierd, maye he is doing it so he seems ligit then you pay the money for shipping, so that's how your out of pocket. Also the spain one is a 100% scam. DO NOT FALL FOR EITHER

i just heard back from the spain bloke and i said to him about my concern for scams etc and this is what i got back

I understand your concern about internet scams and the need to be skeptical when buying over the internet.
Algeciras Reptile Garden is responsible for selling excess snakes from the Zoos in Spain and also snakes from University Reseach programs..
Alternatively,if you have a friend at your country's embassy here in Spain,he can come over to our office and help you out with the bookings.
Michael.

i'd be careful with them. I'm guessing you don't have a friend in the embassy, which is what they will have guessed, but probably said this to try and add extra comfort into the equation, and leed you astray.. if i were you and this is what you wanted.. go over and personally visit these people.. at least then the worst you get for your money is a holiday.. and the best that can happen is you end up with really cheap morph's and a holiday... i am very doubtful that zoo's, and university's would fund royal python morph's.

lol well just found out it was a scam! went to a website that named and shamed scammers.first he said he was from spain and apparently he tells people he is from the us. i think i would only ever use breeders in the uk its just to risky buying anything abroad.

or go with reputable breeders abroad?

I was interested in doing the abroad thing myself, but didn't know where to get info on importing.. i did a little bit of research, and found i might need an import license (where do you get this? i read i might need to go on a course to get one of these?).. and sort paper work out for CITIES? I'm not sure what goes into that either... so i quickly turned my nose up at it, and chose the easy route. :D

Why couldn't you use a American breeder than can ship internationally then? I had the same idea cause I know a couple of people in florida that have said I'm quite welcome anytime and was gonna take advantage around Tampa Show time.

Because i don't have an import license and wasn't really sure what to do in order to get one.. i'd been reading a course would be required.. but i haven't a clue.. also never understood what my role in CITIES would be.
