I got in quite late last night, and as I was getting into bed, I saw this.



His viv door has slid open. The electricity cable had been used as leverage to open the door. Either I did it with my washing basket, or this snake needs signing up for an open university course.

Anyone had any bad experiences with snakes killing them in the night?

Thats such a cool photo, that snakes a bright one!

One of my royals got out one night and i found him the next morning stuff down beside the viv, not ideal.

I bend a piece of wire into a lock that slide between the plates of glass now, no escapes since :)

Viv wedges are good too, and cheaper but with SOO many kids about proper locks are a neccesity! :lol2:

And they don't crack the glass if you don't tighten them up too much!

We just use cardboard inbetween our glass doors - holds them shut (so no need for a viv lock) and fills the gap so the little houdini cant get through it (no alternative escape route!) :no1:
