I have a 10 week old Bearded Dragon and would like to know if he can have loscus and crickets and if so is it 50/50

Yeah i got told to feed the hoppers along with the crix as the hoppers dont have the same nutritional value.

Crickets should still be the main diet and I'd feed as many of those before you give him any locusts! Locusts are lower in calcium (if I remember correctly) and the crickets are better balanced!

not given mine any hoppers, pheonix worms a plenty and mealworms (only a couple) and a mix of crix.

my bd's love their veg too which is lucky :eek:oo:

I'd say use crickets as the staple diet and locusts as a treat. Steer away from addictive and fatty wax or super worms, and mealworms which are very hard to digest as their chitin is hard, and also low in nutritional value.

I use mainly crix, and locusts as a treat, mainly coz locusts are damn expensive!!!

Also it gives them a bit of a run around!
