I use them and have used them in a 60cm wide glass viv before they reach fine, still some length I had to wrap back on itself but does make it look fuller when you do that.

So can you move the magnets then so you dont have to have it straight accross?

One end is fixed but the other has a loop on it so you can put it wherever you like or not use it at all. A good way in smaller vivs is to thread the vine through something at a mid way point like a hide, then you have two lines of vine running across instead.
