ive read a few threads looked at a few threads and people use many different substrates which ones are good and which are bad?

1 appears to be compost
2 sand
3 paper towels
4 towels
5 newspaper
6 tiles
7 card
8 sawdust
9 any others you can think of

thats basically it , give some feed back which are good, bad, just plain stupid , unsafe , good looking , awful and stuff

id have to go with the slate or tiles.dont like the idea of sawdust or card idea as when you mist your geckos this would just become damp and fall apart where as the tiles or slate would just get wet.the only thing is with slate is make sure there are no sharp edges on it to harm your leo and also with tile-it can make the viv extreamly heavey but it can look really nice.I use black reptile sand as its good at retaining heat but there are too many issues on the subject so to save arguing over it with others id say go with what you like best.

1 compost- good for diggers/asthetic values (must be untreated, organic)
2 sand- won't ever consider using
3 paper towels- fine no way of impactation
4 towels-?? prob not unless u were gonna change daily~unhygenic
5 newspaper- good and cheap which is a bonus
6 tiles- look great no impactation issues easy clean etc
7 card- again easy clean but more costly than newspaper
8 sawdust- too dusty, can harbour mites etc.

theres my views :D

i oppose tiles because of the uncomfiness of them :p i think a rep would be happier if it could grip its nails into something but with tile u cant. cork tile things are ok i guess.

still going with my lino lol
