i dont chuck 'em out.... my cresties can be handfed the alien stage (unless its a real wiggly one then they'll grab it off the floor) and when they turn to beetles (especially when new with the cream coloured back) they dont last 2 mins in the viv!
also you can feed them at any stage to beardies and ackies...
so throwing them out is not economical or sensible...
but if you do come across anyone throwing 'em out....
tell 'em to chuck some my way!!!

hi i thought millworm were poison to bearded dragons that are adult then u feed the morio worm ?????? i might be wrong but im pretty sure

mealworms are not poisonous to beardies hun, they are not a great staple food but can be used occasionally, but they are not a problem xx

i thought it was some thing to do with them digesting the shell and its like arsnic ? i was told buy a reptile shop i feed mine morrio worms

the only thing wrong with the beetle stage (darkling) is that they emit a foul smelling substance like ladybirds (when you think they pissed on you), and simply a lot of lizards dont like that. but many will eat them regardless.
